(Phoenix, AZ) – It is impossible to talk about the history of rock music, or the bands that had the biggest impact in the creation of rock’s identity without heralding The Doors. The band’s founding members Ray Manzarek & Robby Krieger have lit a new fire by performing the music of The Doors with The Phoenix Symphony’s full orchestra.  This dynamic pairing will entertain fans in Phoenix at Dodge Theatre on Thursday, October 8 beginning at 7:30PM.  The audience will also enjoy the multi-platinum vocals of ex-Fuel lead singer, Brett Scallions, who joins Ray Manzarek & Robby Krieger in their current band Manzarek-Krieger.

The show offers fans of The Doors body of work an opportunity to see the originators at their musical best and celebrate this great musical legacy. You can expect to hear all the familiar hits performed with a reverence, and all the aplomb you’d expect from these great musicians to a spell bound audience.

“As we’ve gotten older, we’ve gotten better and we have a greater ability to stretch things out, improvise if you will, so that the music has the freedom that we constantly searched for as The Doors,” stated guitarist Krieger.

“Sometimes I can just turn the mic towards the audience,” declared Scallions, “they know every word, and they sing every song, their energy really makes each evening magical.”

So, get ready to “break on through” once again with Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and The Phoenix Symphony. The times may have changed, but the message clearly remains the same.
