March 26, 2010 — Burbank, CA — Reprise Records’ multi-platinum rock band Green Day will hit the road with support from AFI in August for a series of North American tour dates produced by Live Nation. This is the second leg of the band’s critically acclaimed U.S. tour in support of their current gold-certified album 21st Century Breakdown, which won a 2010 Grammy Award for “Best Rock Album.”
In keeping with Green Day’s trailblazing and innovative mind-set the band will feature all-inclusive ticket pricing for all tickets throughout their entire tour with no additional fees of any kind. A limited number of lawn seats will be offered for $20 when tickets go on sale to the general public.
Critics raved about the first leg of the 21st Century Breakdown tour,  which launched in North America in July of 2009, before continuing on to Europe in the fall. “As if releasing a wave of energy that had been building up during their four-year hiatus from touring, Green Day poured all their heart and soul into a powerhouse two-hour set,” said Rolling Stone, while Spin noted that “the band’s relationship with its audience is disarmingly real, a cross generational give-and-take that’s as punk as any Gilman Street scroungers today.”
Released by Reprise Records on May 15th, 2009, 21st Century Breakdown debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, as well as on the Rock, Active Rock, and Alternative charts. The album has spawned two hit singles, “Know Your Enemy,” which has been certified gold, and the platinum-selling “21 Guns,” whose video won three 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, including “Best Rock Video.” The band took home their second American Music Award for “Favorite Alternative Music Artist” in November.
Green Day, which is singer-guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tre Cool, are also gearing up for the Broadway premiere of American Idiot — the critically acclaimed stage version of Green Day’s chart-topping 2004 album that completed a record-breaking three-month run at The Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Directed by Tony Award-winning director Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening), who collaborated on the story with Armstrong, the show opens at the St. James Theatre on April 20th, 2010.

GALLOWS RETURN TO NORTH AMERICA FOR SUPPORT TOURS WITH AFI AND FLOGGING MOLLY IN OCTOBER

SIRE RECORDS DEBUT, GREY BRITAIN, OUT NOW

Burbank, CA – Fresh off their earth scorching appearance on this summer’s Vans Warped tour, UK hardcore band GALLOWS will return to North America in October to hit the road with AFI in the U.S. and Flogging Molly in Canada. The tours will criss-cross the continent from October 2nd through the 29th.  Consider yourself warned:
“A Gallows concert is a demolition derby with no rules…volatility and unpredictability.” – Inked Magazine
“[Warped Tour’s] best set of the day…The British quintet plays a thrilling and venomous take on hard core…Frank Carter, a sinewy redhead with a sneer equal to that of Sex Pistols’ frontman John Lydon. – The Los Angeles Times
GALLOWS will hit the road in support of Grey Britain, their second full-length album and U.S. debut on Sire Records, which was released this past May 5th, 2009 and made an immediate and indelible impression:
“Gallows’ ‘Grey Britain,’  is a savage kick to the cranium – full of passion, fury and undeniable punk power.” – Guitar Edge Magazine
“’Grey Britain’ harbors an impressive amount of vitriol within its grooves…there’s a grimy rage coating the proceedings that’s universal in appeal…feels like the end credits have just rolled to a wakeup call in widescreen.”Decibel Magazine
“Right now, Gallows is the only British band that matters.” – Aquarian Weekly
The 13-song strong album was recorded at London’s RAK studios with producer Garth ‘GGGarth’ Richardson (Rise Against, Rage Against The Machine) and is even more bloody, brutal, and pissed-off with the current Home Counties conditions than the band’s critically revered 2006 debut Orchestra of Wolves. That may be difficult to believe…until you hear this album and witness the band’s absolutely peerless pure adrenaline-fuelled live sonic/physical attack. GALLOWS may well be the last truly unpredictable and dangerous live working band on the planet.  See for yourself. Confirmed tour dates are listed below.
GALLOWS formed in 2005 and immediately set the UK on fire with their politically charged lyrical perspective and full-on, non-stop commitment to getting the message across by any means necessary. In 2007, GALLOWS won the Kerrang! Magazine Award for Best British Newcomer. The single from their debut album In The Belly Of The Shark, appears on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock game. Our advice to you: Don’t miss the opportunity to see GALLOWS live. No one comes close.
