AL JARREAUs Phoenix concert is one of a limited number of intimate engagements in support of his new album Al Jarreau: Love Songs. The project follows the recent success of his 2-time Grammy winning collaboration with George Benson titled Givin It Up. Jarreau is the only vocalist in history to win Grammy awards in three separate categories: jazz, pop, and R&B. And he won the aforementioned Grammys within a span of four consecutive decades the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s and ’00s. One of Jarreau’s most successful albums is Breakin Away (1981), which includes the hit song “We’re in This Love Together.” He also wrote and performed the Grammy-nominated theme to the 1980s American television show Moonlighting.

In 1981 The Human League became the world’s first class synthesizer pop group. They reached critical acclaim and commercial reward for the singles “The Sound Of The Crowd”, “Love Action (I Believe in Love)”, “Open Your Heart” and “Don’t You Want Me”. The single “Don’t You Want Me” became number one in America. The current band line-up is: Philip Oakey (Vocals), Susan Anne Sulley (Vocals), Joanne Catherall (Vocals), Neil Sutton (Keyboards), Nic Burke (Multi-instrumentalist) and Rob Barton (Percussion).
Belinda Carlisle formerly the lead vocalist for the pop rock band The Go-Go’s has had a phenomenally successful solo career. After the initial breakup of The Go-Go’s in 1985 Belinda picked herself up, dusted herself off and embarked upon a solo career. In 1986 she released here first album Heaven on Earth. The first release from Heaven on Earth was “Heaven is a Place on Earth”, an enormous international hit, topping the charts not only in the U.S. but also in the U.K. and several other countries. It is to this day probably her best known song. On February 5, 2007 she released her long awaited 7th album Voilà, her first studio album in ten years.
ABC was formed in 1980 by Martin Fry and included David Palmer, Mark White, Stephen Singleton and Mark Lickley. Pigeon-holed as part of the New Romantic movement of the time, which included bands such as Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet and The Human League. ABC charted ten UK and five US Top 40 singles between 1981 and 1990. In 1982 the band had three Top 10 hits; “Poison Arrow”, “The Look of Love” and “All Of My Heart.” Fry still tours as ABC, often in conjunction with other 1980s nostalgia or revival acts. Following a tour of the U.S. in May and June 2006, Fry and Palmer, together with Chuck Kentis, put together a new ABC album with the title of Traffic, scheduled for release on April 28, 2008.
Dead or Alive was founded in 1980 by Pete Burns and rose to popularity with their hit single “You Spin Me Around (Like a Record)”. Dead Or Alive’s core members and essential element are Pete Burns and Steve Coy, who hail from Liverpool. Their combined creative genius has produced twenty years’ worth of hit singles, eight albums that have gone gold and multi-platinum worldwide, and a visual statement that has kept tongues wagging for nearly two decades. Pete Burns will be performing all the Dead or Alive hits.
Missing Persons was founded in 1980 in Los Angeles by guitarist Wareen Cuccurullo, vocalist Dale Bozzio and drummer Terry Bozzio and later they added bassist Patrcik O’Hearn and keyboardist Chuck Wild to their lineup. They played a blend of New Wave music and electronic pop rock. Dale’s quirky voice and heavy makeup made the band a favorite on MTV in the early 1980’s. In 1982 they signed with Capital Records and released the album Spring Session M, which went gold. Dale Bozzio will be performing the Missing Persons hits.

Los Angeles, CA (April 15, 2008) – To the delight of his millions of fans, legendary singer, songwriter and performer Neil Diamond will return to concert stages this summer for a 37-city North American tour, promoted nationally by AEG Live. Tickets for the North American tour, scheduled to kick off July 19th in St. Paul, Minnesota, will go on sale in select markets beginning Monday, April 28th. The North American leg follows a series of European dates starting May 24th in Rotterdam, with new dates recently added to accommodate an overwhelming demand for tickets.
With a four-decade long career that has seen more than 125 million records sold worldwide, 36 Top 40 hits, a Grammy, a Golden Globe and thousands of sold-out shows all over the globe, Neil Diamond remains one of the most vital and innovative forces in modern music. The 2008 summer tour will deliver a familiar yet unique fan experience featuring amazing production, innovative stage design and, of course, an unparalleled set list of Diamond’s most beloved hits. In addition to classics such as “Sweet Caroline,” “I’m a Believer,” and “Cherry, Cherry,” Diamond will perform new, never before performed live songs from his upcoming, highly anticipated album, Home Before Dark, his second collaboration with renowned producer Rick Rubin, to be released by Columbia Records on May 6th.
Diamond announced the tour in a surprise televised appearance at the Boston Red Sox season opener at Fenway Park on April 8th. During the traditional eighth-inning sing-a-long of Diamond’s classic “Sweet Caroline,”—a longtime Fenway tradition—the singer appeared in a televised, big-screen broadcast, proclaiming to fans that he will be performing live in concert at the historic Fenway Park on Saturday, August 23rd, 2008.

Diamond’s prolific body of work includes “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers” (the powerful duet with Barbra Streisand), “I Am, I Said” and “Cracklin’ Rosie,” as well as hits from his album and movie The Jazz Singer (“America,” “Love on the Rocks”) and from his acclaimed 2005 album 12 Songs. The album marked his first project with Rubin, which entered the Billboard Top 200 at No. 4 – marking Diamond’s highest-charting debut to date – and offered a stripped-down, emotionally honest and passionately compelling approach that continues on Home Before Dark.
Like all great Neil Diamond albums, Home Before Dark is a powerful work, crossing generational lines with an extraordinary range and level of songcraft. Imbued with the same style of inspired melodies that has made his music so enduring, the album’s highlights include the stunning lead single “Pretty Amazing Grace” and a striking duet with the Dixie Chicks’ Natalie Maines entitled “Another Day (That Time Forgot).” The new collection was written by Diamond and recorded in Los Angeles with guitarist Mike Campbell, keyboardist Benmont Tench (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers), bassist/acoustic guitarist Smokey Hormel and guitarist Matt Sweeney. The album will also be available as a deluxe version that includes two bonus tracks and a DVD with rare footage of Diamond in the studio.
