Music and Marketing Intern
From The Crowd (www.FromTheCrowd.com ), an online music Zine, is looking for a hard-working, enthusiastic interns, to attend concerts and review music of artists coming to the Phoenix Area this summer. Interns will also be given a chance to preview and express views on some of the latest music releases.
Essential Duties:
1. Attend concerts as needed to promote From The Crowd, by distributing fliers or working at designated tables
2. Provide a written review as a concert reviewer for assigned shows.
3. Provide a written review of provided CDs
4. Assist is maintaining the Concert Calendar
5. Create and maintaining mailing lists, databases
6. Communicate with Music Industry contacts as needed and assigned
7. Update postings on various blogs and announcement boards
8. Research Myspace to locate new up and coming bands
9. Research approved media contacts
10. May assist in band interviews at large festivals.
Job Requirements:
1. A love of music and entertainment is necessary.
2. Basic knowledge of computers and the Internet.
3. Ability to use MS Office, Blogger, Myspace, Facebook
4. Availability to attend concerts
5. Write music and concert reviews of 200-500 words within 24 hours of assignment
6. Conduct self professionally, when meeting artists and attending events

INTERNSHIP TITLE: Music/Marketing Intern
UNPAID, UNDERGRADUATE SCHOOL CREDIT NOT - REQUIRED, however, preferred (If you are seeking credit, provide necessary paperwork and we will accommodate requirements)
HOURS: 10 hours a week required (for credit) typically 4 hours for non-credit
LOCATION: Phoenix Metro Area, Arizona
START DATE: May 2009 END DATE: August 18, 2000 (Summer Internship, Fall Internship will be Aug to Dec)
